This wine has a beautiful dark, rich colour. An exceptionally complex wine with dark fruit and cloves on the nose. Full bodied, succulent and approachable. Tannins elegantly integrated.

Vinification and Maturation
Grapes are harvested at a full ripe stage at 24- and 25 degrees Balling. The crushed grapes are inoculated with pure yeast and fermented dry at 26 – 28 ° C.
Alcoholic fermentation is completed in about 7-8 days.
The wine is barrel-aged in French Oak.

Characteristics
The smokiness on the nose blends with vanilla flavours that come from maturing in oak barrels, soft on the palate though with enough tannin for a good balance. This wine will compliment any spicy dishes such as Cape Bobotie, ostrich steak, or enjoy on its own.
